A First-in-Class Dual Mechanism Immunotherapy Designed to Restore T Cell Activation and Suppress Treg Function Through CD28 Shedding Blockade
BND-67 is a First-in-Class, intra-antibody that specifically blocks CD28 shedding, a novel regulatory dual mechanism discovered and validated by Biond in cancer patients. By preventing the cleavage of CD28, BND-67 leads to an increase in T-effector cell activation while simultaneously reducing T-regulatory activity, resulting in a sustained anti-tumor immune response.
The studies in NHPs demonstrated that BND-67 has a completely new safety profile and validated its dual MOA with a combination of increased T effector activity and decreased Treg function. BND-67 has been administered alone and in combination with T-cell activating agents such as PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors, and T-cell engagers in selected solid tumors.
Biond's unique dual-MOA positions it as a drug for use as monotherapy and in combination with T-cell activating agents such as PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors, and T-cell engagers in selected solid tumors.
